No thin straps cutting into your foot

Most summer flats hold on with thin straps that dig into the top of your foot. Sandy has one woven panel over the whole front of the foot instead, so there is no single narrow band pressing down.

An open back

The heel is open, and the only strap runs around the back of the ankle. There is no stiff heel cup squeezing from behind when your feet swell by the afternoon. The front covers your toes and the widest part of your foot, and the back leaves room.

The whole upper is woven from wide, flat strips, finished with a stitched edge along the sole. A pointed toe keeps it neat with trousers or a dress.
