The real test of a dress isn't the first ten minutes, it's hour seven — still comfortable, or quietly counting down until you can change. Most of what makes the difference is structural: whether there's a seam sitting across the middle, whether anything grips at the arm, whether the hem needs pulling down. Marit has none of those. It's cut straight from shoulder to hem with no waist seam, no gathered waist and no fastenings.

The print runs as a gradient rather than a pattern — deep pink at the shoulder shifting gradually through coral and orange into pale yellow at the hem, with no hard colour break anywhere along the way. Because the change is continuous, there's no horizontal line drawn across the body at any point. The V-neckline sits open, the sleeves are full-length and turned back at the forearm, and there are pockets in the side seams.
