Nothing cutting into your upper arm

On most short-sleeved dresses the sleeve is a separate piece stitched into an armhole, and that seam lands right on the fullest part of your upper arm. This one has no armhole seam at all. The sleeve is cut in one piece with the body and simply folded over at the shoulder, so there is nothing sitting on your arm to grip it and nothing to strain when you reach across the table. The edge finishes well above the elbow with room on every side of it.

The top half hangs, it does not hold

The bodice is one straight panel from the shoulder down to the waist seam. No darts, no shaping, no buttons, no zip. That means it falls clear of your bust and past your stomach instead of being pulled around them, and there is nothing on the front of this dress that has to land in exactly the right spot on your body.

The skirt never narrows at the hip

Below the waist seam the fabric is gathered densely the whole way round, so the skirt starts wide and stays wide down to the hem. Full hips and thighs never run into a point where the dress gets tighter.

Pockets set into the side seam

Two pockets sit in the side seams just under the gathers, worked into the seam rather than stitched on top. They hold your phone and your keys without putting a lump on the outside of the skirt.

On in one go, and long enough to stay put

There is nothing to fasten, and the neckline is wide enough to go over your head and shoulders without a struggle, so getting dressed is one lift of your arms. The hem falls to mid-calf and stays there while you walk, and it comes in sizes M to 4XL.
