Made to be worn, not managed

There's a version of the loose dress that solves one problem and creates another. Nothing pulls, nothing digs — but it also reads as one flat rectangle from shoulder to ankle, and that isn't what anyone was going for. Esra gets around it with the print rather than the cut. The whole dress is a patchwork of navy and indigo blocks: scattered dots in one section, fine vertical stripes in another, small checks in a third.

Because the pattern changes every few inches, the eye reads the dress in sections instead of as a single unbroken column — the visual interest does the work that a fitted waist would normally do, without anything sitting close to the body. The V-neckline stays open at the chest, the sleeves are full-length and turned back at the forearm, and the straight cut means there is no seam at the waist. It finishes at mid-calf with a slightly curved hem, and there are pockets set into the side seams.
